West Ham United midfielder Jack Wilshere is determined to “prove a point” when the Hammers travel to Arsenal in the Premier League.

Wilshere left Arsenal – a club he had represented for 17 years – on a free transfer earlier this summer, but will be back at the Emirates Stadium in a West Ham shirt this weekend.
The 26-year-old has also backed his new team to cause an upset on Saturday afternoon , with Arsenal still getting used to life under new head coach Unai Emery.
“First of all, I’ve got to concentrate on football and I quite fancy our chances. I obviously know them really well,” Wilshere told West Ham’s official matchday programme. “They’ve got a new manager, but I know the players, so hopefully it’ll be a good time to play them.
“It’ll be a strange one for me as I was never able to go there and play when I went out on loan as you can play against your parent club, but it’s one I’m looking forward to. It’s down to me to prove a point to Arsenal that they were wrong to get rid of me.”
West Ham have lost to Liverpool and Bournemouth in their first two Premier League matches for the 2018-19 campaign.
